Immediate opening for associate attorney at NY Capital Region law firm specializing in representing hedge funds, mutual funds and other institutional investors active in the secondary loan and bankruptcy claim markets. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years experience documenting sophisticated commercial transactions and analyzing corporate bankruptcy and commercial litigation issues, and first-rate oral and written communication, negotiation, client counseling and research skills. Professionalism, enthusiasm, care and thoroughness in completing assignments, the ability to manage a large number of matters effectively, intellectual curiosity, a commitment to professional and firm development, and a willingness to be coached and managed by, and to coach and manage, others are all required. Experience with LSTA and/or ISDA documentation, and facility with spreadsheets, databases and Mac platform a plus. Competitive salary, health insurance and 401(k)/profit-sharing plan.
