The opening is located in Latham, NY.
Duration: Direct Hire/Full Time

The Director of Applications is responsible for the overall coordination, control, and maintenance of these critical applications to ensure availability and integration with enterprise strategies. you will be responsible for the assigned systems architecture, implementation of new system application functionality, design, development and managing a team of IT professionals in multiple locations. The Director develops and monitors resources, project deliverable dates and critical objectives to meet strategic timeframes to support the business.
Work closely with system user groups to ensure that Information Technology has
goals that are aligned with and support broader Company objectives - both short
term and long term.
Lead the implementation of a major application.
Communicate business objectives, direct staff and perform activities to achieve
business objectives.
Evaluate requests for new programs or existing program enhancements to
determine development options, feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility
with current systems and provide recommendations.
Coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of requests create project plans,
determine resource needs, allocate resources, and monitor activities.
Define standards and methodologies for best practices; ensure compliance of
these practices.
Responsible for hiring, payroll tracking/performance reviews, mentoring, coaching,
and developing information technology associates within area of responsibility.
Communicate company values, provide leadership, tools, training for enhanced
growth and productivity.
Identify, recommend and implement new technologies and/or upgrades as they
become available.
Experience and Skills Required:
Development and support of WEB Applications, SAP ETL and Business Objects.
Experience implementing major ERP systems.
Proven experience providing project status and updates to the Executive
Leadership Team
Demonstrated experience and success managing multiple projects and technical
teams across multiple locations.
Vendor software evaluation, selection, negotiations and relationship building.
Experience with SDLC methodologies and demonstrated success developing
software modifications and enhancements.
Working knowledge of Windows-based and Microsoft development tools, C#,
.Net, SQL.
Knowledge of web-based application development, industry direction and trends
for WEB Applications
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage projects and budgets
in excess of $500K.
Demonstrated experience providing leadership, team building and resource

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
