We are currently seeking a dynamic CLAIMS CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE I to join our team at our office in LATHAM, NEW YORK. The Claims Customer Service Representative I will, under the direction of the Claims Customer Service Management Team, answer and respond to a high volume of telephone inquiries from members and providers. The Claims Customer Service Representative I is expected to take personal and complete responsibility of every interaction with a customer by providing outstanding service as a means to build customer loyalty, improve customer retention and satisfy corporate customer service goals and objectives .
Position Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and thorough interpretation of benefits, eligibility and claims payment information.
Provide timely, accurate, and courteous responses to a high volume of telephone inquiries from both members and providers.
Achieve and maintain productivity and quality performance expectations.
Provide timely follow-up with other internal departments to expedite resolution of difficult/aging inquiries, and when necessary escalate those issues to management for further handling.
Comply with all HIPAA Compliance regulations.
Position Requirements:
Education : A High School Diploma or a GED is required. An Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree is preferred.
Licensure : None
Relevant Work Experience: A Minimum of one year experience in Customer Service, Health Care or Insurance or one year equivalent work experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Previous experience in an ACD call center environment is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
